Create a text with image slide
Select the blue “Add Slides +” button. From the drop-down menu, pick the “Create Slide” link to make the new slide.
This opens the slide templates library. Here you’ll see there are many types of slides you can make. Select “Image”.
Give the Image Slide a Title. This title will be seen in the ViewMedica menu system. Use a descriptive name so you and your patients can easily find it in your On-Demand menu.
Set the runtime for this slide. The default time is 10 seconds but some slides may need more time. If the slide has a lot of text, you may need to increase the amount of time it stays up on the screen.
Use one of the two methods listed at the bottom of this tutorial to upload an image – either upload new or use an existing image.
To get the best results, we suggest the source image (jpg or png format) be at the size listed next to the “Add an Image” button. Our online image editor will then help you size and crop.
Your image will upload, and a cropping box will be displayed to show the proper dimensions. Use “Zoom” buttons or your mouse’s scroll wheel to change the size of the uploaded image. Drag the crop box to move it or click and drag the blue handles to resize the crop. When you are finished editing, click the “Crop Image” button. Like the crop? Then hit “Confirm”.
After you upload your image for this slide, edit the slide text. You can set many formatting options for this text.
- Bold, italics and underline
- Set as a list, numbered list, or quote
- Align left, centered or right
- As a web link (clickable link in On-Demand)
- Color of text
- Background color
Hit the blue “Save” button. Now you will see the slide in your list.
You can grab the new slide with your mouse and drag it to the position where you want it play in your presentation, collection or loop.
There are two ways to get an image into this slide:
Just grab the image from your computer desktop and drag it onto the dotted line area in this window.
Click the “Add an Image” button. This will bring up the “My Media” window. Either drag the image from your computer desktop and onto this window. Or, hit the “+ Add New Media” button to bring up your computer’s file structure. Navigate to your image file, select it and click “Upload.”
Click the “Add an Image” button. This will bring up the “My Media” window. This shows your previously-uploaded images. Select the image you want to use.
