Our Private Health Information Policy for On-Demand is designed to assist you in understanding what information we collect when a visitor plays a ViewMedica video that has been embedded on your web site or shared through the built-in Share Page link.

Your Privacy Matters

We value your privacy and do not use or store any personal health information. You can use our services with peace of mind, knowing that your sensitive data is not stored or shared.

ViewMedica On-Demand does not use any client-side state, such as cookies or localStorage, to collect usage metrics. We also don’t “fingerprint” individuals via their IP address, User Agent string, or any other data. IP and device addresses are not collected or stored.

What we do collect

We only collect data that is necessary for the service to function.

• Date and Time of On-Demand use - to show the view count for a selected video
• Facility Subscription ID - to create the list of subscribed videos
• Video ID - to play a selected video (e.g. cancer or uclinjury)
• Default Language - to set the On-Demand player’s preferred language (e.g. en, es, pt)
• Language Setting - to deliver content in the user’s selected language (e.g. en, es, pt)
• Partial IP Address - to prevent malicious attacks. We do not store the IP address’ last octet to protect the user’s identity. For example, the address 123.123.123.123 is collected as 123.123.123.0.

Where is it stored?

The necessary data collected is stored in a secured AWS S3 bucket.

Does cookie consent management exist on your domain?

No. The On-Demand player iframe does not use any cookies at all. The ViewMedica Share Page only uses strictly necessary cookies (XSRF, session) which do not require consent.
