Below are some of the most frequently asked questions about our ViewMedica Integrated Videos and the ordering process. If you have a question that is not covered on this page, please contact us and we will be happy to respond.

Q: How do I get started?

A: If you already have ViewMedica Web content on your facility site or use VMcast waiting room TV, simply log into your ViewMedica account. Enable the Integrated Video service from your account Dashboard by clicking on “Manage Your Services”. If you do not have a ViewMedica account, create your Integrated Video account now [link].

Q: Do I have to have a ViewMedica Web account?

A: No, the Integrated Video service is a stand-alone service. But, if you want to display the videos in your facility AND on your public website, you need both the Integrated Video service and the On-Demand Streaming service.

Q: Can I use the Integrated videos on our facility intranet or password-protected portal site?

A: Yes. These uses are approved, and encouraged. It is important to have a cohesive content offering for the patient to see at bedside or at home. The Integrated contract does not, however, allow for the use of ViewMedica videos on an open public website (your marketing site for example). We offer separately our feature-packed ViewMedica On-Demand video service for your marketing site or to add more functionality to your intranet or password-protected portal.

Q: Can I post the videos to my Facility’s public website or to our YouTube account?

A: No. If you want to post the videos to your public or marketing website, you need to license the separate ViewMedica On-Demand service. Subscribers to ViewMedica Integrated Video service receive a 50% discount off the ViewMedica On-Demand service as long as both services remain active. Posting videos to internet video services such as YouTube is strictly forbidden.

Q: How do you deliver the video files?

A: Your video files can be downloaded from your ViewMedica account dashboard. You can download the videos in English and in Spanish.

Q: What format are the videos delivered in?

A: Our standard video format is H.264 .mp4 digital video files. This format supports the majority of video systems. It is clean and has a reasonable file size. If you need a different format, contact us and we can work with you to generate the file format you need.

Q: What equipment do I need?

A: Integrated video files are simply video files and do not include software for playback. You will need a closed network video system to house, manage, deliver and display the videos. There are numerous providers of these systems and our videos work on most all of them.

Q: Can I change my video selections?

A: You can add new videos to your account at any time. You can remove videos during the Open Selection Period, which happens in the 30 days before your contract renewal date.
