Install the ViewMedica Desktop Application

The ViewMedica Desktop application lets subscribers to ViewMedica On-Demand video services play their videos directly from an application installed to a Mac or Windows machine. With the desktop application, you don’t need to type a Web address into an internet browser to get your videos. The Desktop app also lets you save videos to a favorites list to quickly access the content you use most.

First, download the application for your computer by using the link on your account dashboard. Click on either the Mac or Windows icon to start your download.

Windows Installation

1. After your download is finished, navigate to your downloads folder or click to open ViewMedicaSetup.zip on your downloads bar.

2. If prompted, select an extract location and open the extracted folder.

3. Open the ViewMedicaSetup file that is inside the folder.

4. Windows may prompt you to Extract All, Run or Cancel. Select Run.

5. Windows Firewall may give you a security warning that you are attempting to run ViewMedicaSetup created by Swarm Interactive, Inc. If this information is correct, select Run.

6. A window will appear briefly that gets the latest version of ViewMedica.

7. Once the install/update window disappears, you can log in using your ViewMedica login and password. You can also use your limited access passcode found on your ViewMedica account Profile page. ViewMedica Desktop will only require you to log in once.

Periodically, you may be prompted to update the application when new versions are released. ViewMedica automatically checks for updates every time the application is started.

macOS Installation

1. After your download is finished, navigate to the your downloads folder or click to open ViewMedica.dmg from the Downloads on your dock at the bottom of the screen.

2. Drag the ViewMedica app icon to your Applications folder.

3. Double click the Applications folder, find the ViewMedica app and drag it to your dock.

4. Click back on the ViewMedica.dmg window. In your menu bar select File and then Eject ViewMedica.

5. Click the ViewMedica dock icon to launch the application.

6. Use your login and password to access ViewMedica. You can also use your limited access passcode found on your ViewMedica account Profile page. ViewMedica Desktop will only require you to log in once.
