Create an image slide
Image Slides are a great way to add highly visual content to your ViewMedica. Create a slide while you’re building a loop, presentation, collection or bumper.
To get the best results, use these specs:
- Image format of jpg or png
- Main Screen Slides (On-Demand and VMcast): 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels high
- Side Slides (VMcast): 380 pixels wide by 750 pixels high
- Bottom Slides (VMcast): 1920 pixels wide by 215 pixels high
Our online image editor will help you size and crop.
Click the blue “Add Slides +” button. Select “Create Slide” from the drop-down menu to make a new slide.
This opens the slide templates library. There are many types of slides you can make. Select “Image.”
Give your image slide a title. This title will be seen in the ViewMedica menu system. Use a descriptive name so you and your patients can easily find it in your On-Demand menu.
Optional: The “Hyperlink” field is clickable in On-Demand. They take up the whole slide. Hyperlinks show up as scannable QR codes in VMcast.
Set the runtime for your slide. The default time is 10 seconds, but you may find some slides need more or less time. If your image has a lot of text, you may need to increase the amount of time it stays up on the screen.
Add an image. Use one of the methods listed below:
Grab the image from your computer desktop and drag it onto the dotted line area in this window.
Click the “Add an Image” button. This will bring up the “My Media” window. You can drag an image from your computer desktop and onto this window. Or, click the “+ Add New Media” button to bring up your computer’s file structure. Navigate to your image file, select it, and click “Upload.”
Click the “Add an Image” button. This will bring up the “My Media” window. This shows your previously uploaded images. Select the image you want to use.
Your image will upload and a cropping box will be displayed to show the proper dimensions. Use the “Zoom” buttons or your mouse’s scroll wheel to change the size of the uploaded image. Drag the crop box to move it or click and drag the blue handles to resize the crop. When you are finished editing, click the “Crop Image” button. Like the crop? Then click “Confirm.” Need to tweak the crop before saving? Click the “Change Crop” button and start again.
Click the blue “Save” button. Now you will see the slide in your list.
Slides can be grabbed and dragged to new positions in a loop, presentation, or collection. They are also available under the “My Saved Slides” link in your account.
