Create a text and image slide

Slides are an easy way to add your own content to ViewMedica. Create a slide while you’re building a loop, presentation, collection or bumper.

From the loop, presentation, collection or bumpers builder

  1. Click the blue “Add Slides +” button. Select “Create Slide” from the drop-down menu to make a new slide.

  2. This opens the slide templates library. There are many types of slides you can make. Select one of the templates that have places for both text and images. Example: Text on Image

  3. Give your slide a title. This title will be seen in the ViewMedica menu system. Use a descriptive name so you and your patients can easily find it in your On-Demand menu.

  4. Enter a headline and text for the slide. You can set many formatting options for this text.

  • Bold, italics, and underline
  • Text size
  • Set as a list, numbered list, or quote
  • Align text to the left, center, right, top, middle, or bottom of the slide area
  • Set as a clickable link in On-Demand
  • Text color
  • Background color
Note

The "Hyperlink" field is clickable in On-Demand. They take up the whole slide. Any inline links become unclickable. Hyperlinks show up as scannable QR codes in VMcast.

  1. Add an image. Use one of the methods listed below:

    Drag and drop

Grab the image from your computer desktop and drag it onto the dotted line area in this window.

    Or find on computer

Click the “Add an Image” button. This will bring up the “My Media” window. You can drag an image from your computer desktop and onto this window. Or, click the “+ Add New Media” button to bring up your computer’s file structure. Navigate to your image file, select it, and click “Upload.”

    Use a previously uploaded image

Click the “Add an Image” button. This will bring up the “My Media” window. This shows your previously uploaded images. Select the image you want to use.

  2. Set the runtime for your slide. The default time is 10 seconds, but you may find some slides need more or less time. If your slide has a lot of text, you may need to increase the amount of time it stays up on the screen.

  3. Click the blue “Save” button. Now you will see the slide in your list.

  4. Slides can be grabbed and dragged to new positions in a loop, presentation, or collection. They are also available under the “My Saved Slides” link in your account.

Note

You can also create new slides from the "My Saved Slides" link under the "Content" section of your dashboard. Click the blue “+ Create New” button to bring up the slide template library.
